Bag Essentials for Events

Now that the warmer weather is coming, that means there will be lots of events happening! Graduations, weddings, birthdays and so much more. That means it’s also time for smaller bags.

While the bag chosen may be the perfect match for the outfit, it may not be the perfect fit for what we need. During the times I have my smaller bags, I have to play jenga to figure out what I will be putting in there!

During events like these, there are essentials I like to have on me at all times.

A mini sewing kit is a must have for me! I somehow always need to fix something on me or others during events. What’s great is that these kits not only include different color thread and needles, but they also include mini scissors and buttons! The mini sewing kit has never done me wrong.

Fashion tape is another essential for me. Sometimes a part of the bra is popping out or a the fabric is laying weird while wearing it. The fashion tape is always able to fix it. It is double sided tape delicate enough for fabrics and skin, but strong enough to hold what you need in place all night. The best part is that it causes no damage to the fabric or skin!

A hair tie is another one. With someone who has thick hair, during the warmer months, having the hair lay on your neck causes it to get sweaty and warm after a little bit. Having a hair tie allows you to put your hair up with no issue. I prefer them over claw clips because you can style your hair in cuter ways to keep the aesthetic of your outfit. Add a few bobby pins for extra styling or securemnet.

To go along with the sweat that occurs in the warm weather, blotting sheets help prevent you from having oil all over your face! Blot before you reapply your powder and you will have an even better touch up. Blotting sheets allow you to get rid of oil without having to ruin your makeup!

Lastly, I’ll always have hand sanitizer on me. I don’t know what germs I will be touching throughout the night! What I do know though, is that I will have clean hands. Hand sanitizer comes in all different shapes and sizes so it’s not going to be difficult to find one that fits in your purse. (I also know we are all culprits with having Bath & Body Works sanitizers all around our room so having an extra won’t be an issue.)
