Espadrilles (Spring and Summer’s Best Shoe)

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love my espadrilles. They are my go-to shoes for a reason!

I find them to be the best shoes around for the warmer weather. They are versatile, but also a breathable shoe. They come in a variety of colors and heights for any occasion. The jute fabric that is used to make the shoe an espadrille adds an elegant touch to an outfit and always brings an outfit together. The material used makes it a “neutral” shoe allowing it to be paired with pretty much everything. They are also easy to walk in as they have a platform allowing extra stability. Even in the heeled version, walking is much easier as they are commonly seen as wedges. When tying them, I do recommend wrapping the string around the leg as many times as possible for a more secure fit.

The shoes are also great because the don’t make the feet sweat in warmer weather, nor do they give blisters. Majority of espadrilles are made with a canvas material for the foot part allowing easy comfort when sweating.

Another bonus is these shoes don’t wear like normal shoes! If the jute was to get distressed, it wears beautifully. The shoes do not crease because the canvas used is playable. (Warning…do not wear in the rain!!!)

I have them in flats and in heels from all different price points. I have multiple pairs of espadrille flats from target that I got for $20 along side an espadrille heel from Marshall’s for $25 that have lasted me years. I also have a pair of $200 espadrille heels from Michael Kors and Castaner. They are a shoe that can be bought at any price point that will last you a life time!
