Easy Way to Clean Makeup Brushes

Cleaning makeup brushes is a chore many people don't want to do. I will admit, I do not clean them as often as I should... When I actually clean them, I try to do it as easily as possible.

A bar of soap is the only thing I use to clean them! I like to use a non-fragranced soap as my face is sensitive. When it's time to wash them, I take one at a time. I run the brush under water and then rub it on the bar of soap in circular motions until the water runs clear. I will rinse and squeeze off the brush a couple of times while doing it to make sure all the product is off. Make sure to get in there to get all the makeup off, especially towards the middle of the brush where the fibers are more tightly placed!

Once done, I squeeze out the excess water and lay them on a towel to dry. Letting them dry fully is important to ensure no water gets in the rest of your makeup when you use them.

It's recommended to wash them every week, but we all know that will not be happening...oh well!
