Places to Go in England

I know.... first post in almost 3 months! Where have I been? Life has been crazy busy, but amazing. For part of the craziness, I was traveling! One stop during my travels was England. In this post I’ll tell you some of the amazing places I visited while there.

London is a beautiful city to visit, and I am here to narrow the places to go to so it is not so overwhelming. London was a definitely city to see including the surrounding areas! No car is needed as tour buses take you everywhere and uber is easily accessible.

First stop...the Palaces. There are so many palaces to see, but my three favorites were Buckingham Palace, Windsor Palace and Kensington Palace. There are tours to do for all of them, so you do not have to navigate it alone! I would highly recommend a guided tour for Windsor as transportation is included.

Second stop...Thames River Cruise. A river cruise across the Thames River is one thing I would recommend for everyone. It is a great way to see the main city of London and not be overwhelmed with tourists. The river cruise goes to/from Big Ben and Tower Bridge. You can board at either location depending on where you are at the moment. While on the cruise, the funny tour guides will give you a little history of the surrounding monuments.

Thirdstop...Knightsbridge/Chelsea/Kensington. Three cities that if you like luxury, you have to visit! Home to the famous Harrods Department Store, the fashion in this store is next level. There were even brands I have never heard of in there. If you are sick of "shopping", there is a whole food market, restaurants (yes, plural) and a chocolate shop to redirect your attention to. I approve of it all! A block over is also a park and garden that is beautiful to walk through. On the other side of the park is Paddington! That is where I stayed and it was just as nice.

Fourth stop...fish and chips. The classic food that all tourists need to eat while there. The two places that we loved for fish and chips was Weatherspoon near the Tower Bridge and The Bunch of Grapes that is down the street from Harrods. Both give a nice crispy fish with a side of peas and chips.

Fifth stop...Abbey Road. You cannot come to London and not see Abbey Road! If you live under a rock, Abbey Road is the home of the famous Beatles album that portrays them crossing that exact road. Right next to the crosswalk, you can see the Abbey Road Studios recording studio and gift shop that has cool memorabilia.

Sixth stop... The Cotswold's. The Cotswold's is a region in Southwest England that consists of several different town that are known for the homes and natural landscapes. They look even more unreal than the pictures that you see online! It is also the best place to get scones and clotted cream.

It was a trip to remember! Now that I am back, you will be seeing more of the blog!
