Staple Pieces For Any Wardrobe

When choosing certain pieces of clothing, I like to choose something that is capable of being styled with multiple outfits. Over the years I have collected an obscene amount of clothing (I am sure many can agree) allowing me to figure out what are considered "staple pieces." All of these are versatile to fit any occasion!

Here are my top 5 staple pieces in my wardrobe...

• Bodysuits - A body suit is such a versatile piece of clothing to have. They come in many different colors and styles and can be tucked into any pant as well. Picture a black short-sleeved bodysuit. For casual wear, you can pair it with a distressed denim short, sandals and a side bag. For colder days, you can pair it with a long jean or leggings and a sweatshirt. For more professional days, a pair of slacks and heels with a blazer is all you need. For formal wear, a nice long maxi skirt and pumps. The options are endless!

• Dark Wash Skinny Jeans - Personally, I find high-waisted pants more flattering and comfortable so mine will always be high-waisted. These types of pants can also be dressed down or up depending on the occasion. For casual attire, you can pair it with a cute t-shirt and sneakers or for a Saturday night dinner, heels and a nice blouse.

• LBD - A little black dress saves the day for any event. You can never have too many. LBDs come in a variety of styles depending on your personal style. You want a skater style dress to wear with sneaker? There is an option for that. You need a cocktail dress for a wedding? There is an option for that too!

• Black Pointed Toe Heel - Heels elevate any style of clothing. Having a black pointed-toe heel turns any outfit into a nighttime or formal/professional outfit. There have been times I needed to run to work last minute, and the black heels saved me from looking unprofessional! They changed my daytime outfit into work-appropriate attire. The beauty of a black pointed heels, just like a LBD, is that there a variety of styles.

• Brown Side Bag - A lot of people do not think of a brown side bag as a go-to item. With brown being an earthy tone/neutral color, it has the advantage of pairing with a lot of colors. It is also convenient to have if you need to be hands-free.
