The season of Spring is creeping on us. That means one thing...rain. I know for me when it is raining out, the last thing I want to do is change out of my pajamas! Here, I am going to show you 3 different ways to style rain boots each with three different shoes to make you feel better during the gloomy rainy weather!

A plain tall rain boot in any neutral color is a great option to have. It is classy and can be paired with just about anything. My go-to are the Ugg Droplet Tall rainboot in black. I would pair these rain boots with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans that can be tucked in with an oversized sweater and black trench coat. The black trench coat brings in the boots allowing any color sweater to be worn with it. I love to add chunky knit sweater to add texture to the outfit. If you want to make the outfit a little more casual, you can change out the jeans for black leggings and add a leg warmer or tall sock to break up the black in the leggings and boot.

Black ankle rain boots are another great option to have in your closet. These are great for days when there is light rain and puddles. I do not recommend it for heavier rainy days, otherwise your socks with be soaked! I have the Jeffrey Campbell Chelsea ankle rain boots in once again black. These are a more casual shoe. To style these boots, you can either wear them with a cuffed skinny jean or ripped straight legged jeans. I would then pair it with a shorter bomber jacket in another color to match the height of the boots. With the boots being a lower height than the previous ones, it allows more room for added color in the rest of the outfit. A cute graphic crew neck is great to pair under the jacket.

My last style of boot is great to wear to work without having to change shoes. They are a high heeled bootie that is water proof! I even wear these boots when it's not raining becasue they are so cute and go with everything. (Plus they are extremely comfortable to wear all day!) The boots are the Naturalizer Waterproof High Heel Bootie in the oatmeal color. These exact boots are unfortunately discontinued, but they still sell very similar ones on their website. These booties, I feel, are the most versatile to style. My personal favorite is to pair them with high waisted, straight legged jeans with a brown chunky sweater to match the booties. I usually then pair it with an oversized long trench coat and I am set! You can switch out the pants with slacks to make it office appropriate.
Happy styling!
