Are you brushing your wet hair correctly? Let's pretend you're not, and I'll tell you the right way to do so...
See, as a science nerd, I can get all into the science behind hair and hair care…however, I won't at the moment. But to sum it up, when hair is wet, it is at its weakest state. Hydrogen bonds are the type of bonds that form when the hair is wet and they are the weakest bonds possible. Manipulating your hair in this condition could cause breakage. That is not something we want!
When brushing your hair wet, or honestly any time, you want to start from the bottom and work your way up to get rid of knots as gently as possible. You want to use a brush or comb with more flexible tongs. This will allow you to glide to the hair easily and more gently. Please do not pick up that boar bristle brush or round brush for regular combing!! These two brushes are tough on your hair even when dry. Those brushes should be used when styling your hair after the rest of your hair is done and detangled.
