The battle of the powder dry shampoos... Two products with the same concept BUT work in slightly different ways.

Both dry shampoos have a powder base that is meant to absorb the oils in your hair without the use of an aerosol can.

Here are my thoughts on both...

The Dae Fairy Duster Volumizing Dry Shampoo has a citric smell that is on the stronger side (I will say it does smell wonderful). The Briogeo Scalp Revivial Dry Shampoo has a green tea smell. Both smells go away quickly once applied. Either way, if you are sensitive to sent, beware! The Dae product is $30 for 1.06 oz and the Briogeo dry shampoo is $25 for 1.7 oz. So in this case, Briogeo gives more product for less money.

As for the canister, the Briogeo is a squeeze bottle and the Dae dry shampoo is a pump. I do find the Briogeo container a little harder to get product out. Once out, it tends to dispense into one area on the head not allowing an even distribution even when shaken prior. In comparison, the Dae dry shampoo is a pump that dispenses product more evenly. This allows me to use less product since it is disbursed in a wider area more evenly.

On a whole though, I do feel that both dry shampoos work, but for different needs. The Briogeo, I find, does not absorb oil when my hair is extremely oily. It is better on day two hair when my hair is slightly oily and needs a little refresh. No matter how oily my hair is, the Dae dry shampoo is able to absorb all of the oil. Neither leave a white/grey case or residue in the my hair.

A big test for me is whether the product ignites a reaction with my psoriasis. Good news, it doesn’t! Both are great for sensitive scalps and skin conditions.

In the end, both are great products. It just depends on how oily your hair is and your personal hair needs!
