Please wear your sunscreen!! If I could recommend any step in a skincare routine, it would have to be sunscreen. Sunscreen is something anyone can use at any age. Many people know to wear sunscreen, but do people actually know why they should or how often they should reapply? I am here to tell you why.
Sunscreen is protective of UVA and UVB sunrays. DISCLAIMER: No sunscreen or SPF is 100% effective at protecting from all UV rays. UVA rays are much stronger than UVB rays, thus being the culprits of skin cancer, aging skin, sunspots and more. To prevent the fastening of these things, wearing sunscreen over SPF 30 is ideal and recommended. You do not want skin cancer or wrinkles!!
Sunscreen is recommended to be worn at all times outside even if cloudy or by a window. If there is light outside, the sun is making an appearance. No matter what, sunscreen has to be reapplied. If your skin gets wet due to the pool or even sweat, you will need to reapply more frequently. The recommended time interval is usually said on the back of the bottle. But here is the kicker...even under make-up you need sunscreen and to reapply it! The makeup you put on your face does not create a barrier for the UV rays. When wearing makeup, make sure you put an SPF underneath. You can then reapply with a spray or powder SPF. Many companies make easy to apply sunscreen such as Neutrogena and even Cetaphil.
