What's the Situation with Under Eye Cream?

The age-old question - is eye cream ACTUALLY worth it? You hear mixed reviews. Some people say companies just put regular face cream in a smaller tube and market it as eye cream.

My opinion? Eye creams are definitely effective, but you do not need the luxury brands to achieve the same results. Eye cream is not for everyone and really caters to the needs of your skin.

My favorite eye cream is the Cetaphil Hydrating Eye Gel-Cream. It is a lightweight eye cream that helps improve the overall tone and appearance of fine lines while also hydrating the under eyes. Secret..I also use it on acne scars, and it works wonders! For me under eyes, I use it for tone and appearance more than hydration and wrinkles. My regular face cream gives more than enough. If I were to be using both, I would not bring my face cream all the way up to avoid excess heaviness. I am not a big fan of thicker eye creams.

The skin under the eyes is very delicate, so treating it right is a must! You want to find one that works with your skin but is also not heavy as that could actually alter your results. Consulting a dermatologist is highly recommended.
