Brittle Nails Who?

Unfortunately, I was a culprit of damaged nails from gel x…but here’s the catch…it wasn’t from the nails, but from the nail tech removing them too aggressively with the drill!!

People who know me know I always do my own nails and have been for years. With lots of exciting events happening in my life, I thought I would treat myself to a set of nails. And I’m so glad I did because the came out beautiful!

Here’s my evidence:

But the removal was not so pretty. I wish I had a picture to show, but let’s just say my nails HURT and were very brittle.

Luckily with my knowledge (and patience), I have been able to grow out nearly all my damage with a steady routine while still wearing nail polish!

My two key products that have helped have been a nail strengthener and nail oil. Now, it doesn’t have to be the two exact products shown. These two have just been working the best for me!

I apply one to two layers of the nail strengthener and then apply my nail polish like normal. Since my nail strengthener is pretty much clear, I have been also using it as a top coat to add a little bit of extra strength. To add on, I’ve been applying nail oil LIBERALLY. Keeping those cuticles hydrated is a must to prevent any further damage and breaking. Applying the nail oil under the nail has also been extremely helpful!

Within 3 months I have been able to grow out nearly all the damage!
