What Color Are You Painting Your Nails This Summer?

Summer is right around the corner! You know what that means? Manicures and pedicures need to be done and looking good at all times!

The warmer weather allows for a little more freedom with colors. The bright and pastel colors make their debut. All I know is that I will have a new nail color each week!

Lilac

Lilac is a more muted/pastel color that I feel is “neutral” for the summertime. With summer colors being more out there, this nail color can bring any outfit together. It works extremely well for fairer skin tones.

Periwinkle

Periwinkle is for people who are slightly more experimental with their color palette. It is not that wild in comparison to other colors, but is a bigger step than lilac. It works great for any skin tone.

Hot Pink/Orange

Hot pinks and oranges are my personal favorite for the summer. I treat these colors as my “red” for the season. They are always my go-to and never fail me. These colors also look great on any skin tone.

French Tip

French tips are a CLASSIC nail design that goes with anything during any season. Having a French nail allows you to be extremely versatile and creative when getting them. In the summer, you can get so creative with the french tips. You can make the tips any color and any design! I’ve seen people do hot pink or blue on the tip. I’ve also seen people do flowers as the nail tip. I will say though, I do think a baby pink/marshmallow pink works best for french nails in the summer. It gives the nails a more sophisticated look and allows the fun tips to pop in comparison to the white base.

Red

Red is the color I love all year round, just like the french. However…coral red is my favorite during the summer season. Just like the hot pink, it never fails me! It also goes with anything since it is still red. It is a bold statement color.

What do all of these colors have in common? They will make you look tan even if you aren’t!
