Winter is here, which means I need cute and warm clothes that don't make me sweat like I've just run a marathon.
That is what I am here for. I am here to help break it down so you do not have to worry about the essential clothing pieces for the winter weather. Warning: this will be a long list! You obviously do not need everything on this list, but I am putting it all in one spot to make it easier (and since I have too much clothing and just seem to have everything in my closet...oops)!
Jackets/Coats
The essential outerwear to stay warm in the cold months. From where I am, a standard winter coat is a must as the temperature is sometimes single digits. My everyday winter jacket is the Faux Fur Trim Gloss Puffer Jacket in black from Aqua. It has a fur hood and thumb holes to keep me warm. It is also a neutral color, allowing it to look good with almost everything. It is on sale, so snatch it while you can!
I also love to have a long trench coat for this season. They are a great piece to elevate a casual outfit while completing a fancier outfit. Once again, I like to have them in neutral colors. My favorites are the Club Monaco Women's Faux Astrakhan Coat in Gray and the Rebecca Minkoff Long Teddy Shacket (unfortunately, this one is no longer made). Both coats I got at TJ Maxx for a fraction of the cost!
I am a huge denim jacket lover. In the winter, I break out my thick-lined ones. They can be paired with even a matching tracksuit set, and it looks great!
Bomber jackets and leather jackets are staples in my wardrobe. Anyone who knows me knows I wear them about once a week because I love them so much. I usually pair them with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans or bell bottoms with boots, and it's a great going-out outfit. I have a leopard from Cupcakes and Cashmere that is 👌 (shown in the picture on the right). Once again, TJ Maxx!
Accessories:
Accessories in the winter are a bonus because they help keep our hands and heads warm. My favorite accessories to wear in the winter are beanies, bands/earmuffs, and cute gloves. I am a big beanie/hat collector. I have them in every color and style. But as always, neutral colors like black, brown (any shade), and grey are a must! To add my own flare to the accessories. I have ones with pearls and rhinestones.
Scarves are another essential needed, especially in colder climates. I love thicker and longer scarves as they are much warmer and layer nicely over longer coats. Especially if I were to leave them open. I like to keep my scarves neutral as I usually accessorize with my hats and jackets.
Shoes
When it is time for the colder weather, I LIVE in my Ugg boots. I am currently rotating between 3 of them, and I love them! I have every height possible. They keep my feet warm and are extremely comfortable.
A staple winter boot for me is a heeled ankle bootie. I've got them in beige, brown and black and I wear them all the time! My go-to brand for heeled ankle booties is Naturalizer. The brand makes stylish, comfortable, and practical boots. My favorite feature that Naturalizer has for their ankle booties is that they are waterproof! If it is raining, I can still look cute and not jeopardize ruining them. I recently got my third pair and already love them. My most recent purchase was the Deserve Ankle Boot, which is in the color brown. A big plus is that they actually last. I have had my other pairs going on for 6 years, and they are still going strong.

Remember, you do not need to get expensive brands! Believe it or not, I get the majority of my wardrobe at TJMaxx for a fraction of the price. If not at TJ Maxx, I always look for a sale. You do not have to empty your bank account to look good and be warm.
